Sorting Transfer Vehicle (STV) System Based on ST100 Series Optical Data Transmission

The Sorting Transfer Vehicle (STV) system, as an efficient logistics automation solution, integrates the essence of conveyor belt technology and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems, aiming to achieve fast and reliable material transfer. The introduction of the ST100 series optical data transmission module provides an advanced data communication foundation for this system.
Wireless data transmission rate to the transfer vehicle

Challenges:

Traditional AGV systems often rely on fieldbus wiring, which significantly increases construction costs and is susceptible to environmental interference, such as changes in equipment movement and spacing, affecting communication stability. Additionally, to ensure the safe operation of sorting transfer vehicles and avoid collisions, each vehicle needs to precisely and in real time track the positions of other vehicles, requiring fast and accurate data transmission. Furthermore, the smooth operation of multiple conveyor belts also depends on fast, reliable data transmission to avoid system failures caused by delays or errors.

Solution:

To address these challenges, we introduced the ST100 series optical data transmission module. This module, based on infrared technology, is designed specifically for sorting transfer vehicles in automated warehousing and logistics systems, providing a high-performance data communication solution. The ST100 series supports high-speed data transmission up to 100 Mbps, ensuring real-time data exchange between systems, enabling quick updates of vehicle positioning data and more efficient scheduling management. At the same time, its maximum transmission distance of 200 meters meets the needs of various automated system layouts, effectively solving the issues of high construction costs and poor communication stability inherent in traditional wiring methods.
